What is GTO poker?

GTO stands for Game Theory Optimal. It's a strategy that can't be beaten in the long run, no matter what your opponent does. Think of it as the poker equivalent of a chess engine's baseline — a solved answer for every spot, based on math instead of hunches.

Why it matters

Most players lose because they leak — over-limping, folding too much, sizing wrong. GTO gives you a floor: a baseline that stops the bleeding. Once you can play unexploitably, you can start exploiting weaker opponents on purpose, from a position of strength.
