GT_O Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 August 2026

1. Who we are, and what you are agreeing to

GT_O ("GT_O", "we", "us") is operated by Laross Consulting AB, Sweden. Contact: info@gt-o.com

By downloading, opening, or using the GT_O app or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use GT_O.

These Terms apply alongside Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs your license to the app itself. Where the two conflict on the subject of your app license, Apple's terms control. Everything below about what GT_O is, what it claims, and how you may use its output is ours.

2. What GT_O is

GT_O is a study and training tool for poker decision-making. You are shown a poker situation, you choose an action, and GT_O compares your choice against a strategy computed by our solver.

GT_O is not a gambling service. There is no wagering, no real money at stake in the app, no cash-out, no prizes, and no transfer of value between users. Chip and big-blind amounts shown in the app are units of measurement in a training exercise, not currency, credit, or anything redeemable.

GT_O does not provide financial, investment, betting, or professional advice.

3. About "GTO", accuracy, and what the numbers mean

"GTO" describes a method, not a guarantee. The strategies GT_O shows are produced by a computer solver that approximates a game-theory-optimal strategy through iterative computation. Approximation is inherent to how these solvers work. A solved spot is stopped at a tolerance, not proven exact, and every solve carries a margin of error. Where a solve reports its own error bar, GT_O uses it.

Every solve rests on modeling choices. To be computable at all, a solve fixes things that are not fixed at a real table: the set of bet sizes available, how ranges are grouped, stack depth, position, the assumed starting range for each player, and how rake and future streets are handled. Change any of those and the "correct" action can change. So GT_O's answer is the output of our solver under our assumptions, not a universal truth about the hand.

Other tools and coaches will sometimes disagree with us. That is expected, and it is usually a difference in assumptions rather than one side being broken.

Grading is a measurement under the same model. When GT_O marks a decision as having given something up, it is stating the expected-value difference its own solve computed, in big blinds, subject to that solve's error bar. Actions inside that margin are treated as giving up nothing. This is a measurement, not a verdict on your poker ability, and it does not mean an action would have lost money in a real hand.

Preliminary results are labeled and are not graded. Solves computed on demand stream a preview before they converge. A preview is clearly marked as preliminary, and GT_O does not grade against it.

No guarantee of results. GT_O makes no promise, express or implied, that using it will improve your results, make you profitable, prevent losses, or produce any particular outcome at a poker table or anywhere else. Poker involves chance, and study of any kind does not remove that. Any decision you make away from the app is yours alone, and so is its outcome.

4. AI-written explanations

Some explanations are written by a large language model from the solver's output. Generated text can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading even when the underlying numbers are correct. Where the words and the solver's numbers disagree, the numbers are the source of truth. Do not treat generated explanations as reviewed or verified content.

5. Real-time assistance and third-party site rules

You must not use GT_O as real-time assistance while playing on any real-money poker site, app, or in any live game or venue whose rules prohibit it. Nearly all real-money operators ban consulting solvers, charts, or any external tool during a hand, and the consequences can include account closure and confiscation of your balance.

It is your responsibility to know and follow the rules of any site, room, venue, or event you play in. You use GT_O during play entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible for any penalty, account action, seizure of funds, disqualification, ban, or other consequence imposed on you by a third party.

6. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use GT_O.

You are responsible for your account and for anything done through it. Provide accurate information, and keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Display names, and anything else you make visible to other users, must not be offensive, impersonate anyone, or infringe anyone's rights. We may remove or reset a name that breaks this.

We do not tolerate abusive or impersonating behaviour towards other players. You can report a player from the friends surface, and you can block one, which stops either of you reaching the other. We review what is reported and may reset a name, or suspend or terminate an account, for behaviour that breaks this section.

7. Subscriptions and payment

Paid features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple's App Store. Apple is the seller of record. Payment, billing, price changes, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple under your Apple Media Services agreement, and you manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account settings, not here. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Where an introductory or free trial offer applies, eligibility is determined by Apple, and the subscription converts to a paid term at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.

We may also grant access for a limited period at our discretion, for example during a trial or as a courtesy. Such access carries no payment, no entitlement to continued access, and may end at any time.

Feature sets, limits, and pricing can change. Where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription gives you, we will make it clear before your next renewal.

8. Acceptable use

Don't:

  • Use GT_O in a way that breaks the rules of a game or operator you are playing with (see Section 5).
  • Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract solver output, charts, or explanations.
  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publish GT_O content as your own product or dataset.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive our solver, models, or non-public interfaces, except where local law grants you a right to do so that cannot be waived.
  • Automate, script, or otherwise fake activity, including anything that misrepresents results on a leaderboard or streak.
  • Interfere with our infrastructure, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or attempt to access another user's data.
  • Use GT_O to build or train a competing model or product.

We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, and may remove leaderboard entries or results we believe were obtained by circumventing the app.

9. Intellectual property and your content

Ours. GT_O, its software, design, brand, and the strategies, charts, explanations, and other output it produces are owned by us or licensed to us. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use them for your own study, for as long as these Terms allow. No other right is granted, and nothing you do in the app gives you any ownership of, or interest in, solver output.

Yours. You keep ownership of content you create in the app, such as a custom spot or a display name.

What you grant us. By creating or submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, copy, adapt, modify, translate, create derivative works from, publish, display, and otherwise use that content for any purpose connected with operating, developing, and improving GT_O and our other products. That includes passing it to the service providers we use to run the app, and developing, evaluating, and improving models, solvers, and datasets. We may exercise this license without payment, credit, or notice to you.

De-identified and aggregated data. We may create de-identified, aggregated, or statistical data from your content and from your use of GT_O, and use, retain, publish, and share it without limit and for any purpose. That data is ours, and this right survives the end of your account.

Feedback. Anything you send us as a suggestion, bug report, feature request, or other feedback is given freely. We may use it however we like, with no obligation, no confidentiality, and no compensation.

No duty to keep it. We do not promise to store, back up, or return your content, and we may remove or delete content at any time, including content that breaches section 8. Keep your own copy of anything you care about.

Your warranty to us. You confirm you have the rights to the content you submit, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any law.

10. Availability

We aim to keep GT_O working but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change or be withdrawn. Solves depend on computation and network capacity, so a spot may be slow or briefly unavailable. Offline use is limited to what is already on your device.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GT_O is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that solver output is correct, optimal, complete, or suitable for any particular decision you make.

Nothing here excludes a warranty or right that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost poker winnings, gambling losses, lost data, loss of an account with a third party, confiscated funds, loss of goodwill, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, however they arise.

Our total liability to you for all claims connected to GT_O is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us, or paid Apple for GT_O, in the twelve months before the claim, and EUR 100.

These limits do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or to any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected by anything in these Terms.

13. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable losses, including legal costs, arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of GT_O. This does not apply to a consumer beyond what applicable law permits.

14. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When a change is material we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use GT_O after that means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using GT_O and cancel any subscription through Apple.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, and disputes go to the courts of Sweden.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, EEA, or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

17. Third parties

Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support for GT_O. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the Apple-specific terms in your app license, and may enforce them.

18. Miscellaneous

If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them as part of a transfer of the business, on notice.
